What is it? The goal of this pool is to pick the most celebrity deaths during the current calendar year, while accumulating the most points in the process!

How do I score points? On your ballot, rank your list of celebrity’s 1-10 and a healthy pick.

Who is eligible? Any person, whose death would make the news in the United States, ex: CNN, etc. Actors, political figures, athletes, authors

What is a healthy pick? Person must be under the age of 50 for the entire year

  • A celebrity
  • Cannot be a NASCAR driver, political leader, terrorist, member of the Philadelphia Flyers organization, WWE wrestler, Seton Hall forward Herb Pope, person who has had had a major illness, has attempted suicide or has a job that puts their life on the line.
  • YouTube rappers or people who are strictly internet influencers are not allowed (Ex: Tekashi 6in9nine)
    • These people can be in your death pool, they cannot be healthy picks.
How do I score points? (Example) Your #1 pick dies you receive 10 points, #4 pick is worth 7 points. If your healthy pick dies, you receive 20 points.

How do you win? The person with the most points after December 31, 2021 is the winner!

Tiebreakers:

  1. If multiple entries have all 10 people on the list die, the person whose list is completed first wins.
  2. If there is a tie score, the person with the most deaths in the calendar year wins. (Example: team A &; B have a score of 30…team A picked 4 deaths and team B picked 5 deaths. Team B would be the winner.
Death Pool Disputes: If there are any disputes (ex: is that person a celebrity? should a person be allowed to be a healthy pick?) the Jai-Alai Council will settle them. The Jai-Alai Council consists of Justin Godfrey, Mike Baluta, and Jason Linkes.
